Patient Participation Group
The Patient Participation Group (PPG) is a group of patients, carers and GP practice staff who meet regularly to discuss and improve the running of Tollesbury Surgery.
Purpose
The PPG aims to improve the patient experience and put the patient at the heart of everything the practice does. We
work in partnership with the practice to offer the patient perspective on services provided and give constructive
feedback.
Aims and Objectives
-
Contribute to the continuous improvement of services.
-
Foster improved communication between the practice and its patients.
-
Help patients to take more responsibility for their health.
-
Provide practical support and help to implement change.
-
To offer the patient perspective to the Practice and to help patients to understand the reasons for Practice processes.
Membership
All registered patients are usually welcome to join the PPG, but membership of the core committee may be limited if numbers become too great. Registered patients are also welcome to attend and observe a meeting if they wish.
If you would like to join the PPG or simply observe a meeting, please complete the Contact Form below and a member of the PPG will be in touch.
Meetings
The PPG meets approximately once every two months, usually on a Monday at 6:30pm. Notifications about upcoming meetings are shared via the Tollesbury Surgery Facebook page and the local Tollesbury community Facebook groups. Meetings are held in the Tollesbury Surgery waiting area.
Communication
The minutes of recent meetings are available via this page. Any relevant communications are usually shared via Facebook and may also be posted on an information board in the Surgery itself.
If you have any concerns that you would like the PPG to consider, please submit these via one of the following routes: Contact Form (below). Please note individual medical issues cannot be dealt with via this page.

We welcome any suggestions or comments you may have about the services offered to help maintain the highest standard of care possible and meet your needs. We also carry out our own patient surveys in addition to the nationally run patient surveys by the NHS.
