Dispensing Information

By law, patients living within 1.6km of the surgery may not have their prescription dispensed by our pharmacy. If you have any queries about this, please ask at reception. 

 

Please give 48 hours notice for a repeat prescription. Repeats ordered on a Friday will be ready for collection the following Tuesday.

 

We do not take repeat prescriptions by telephone, except in extenuating circumstances. Requests for repeats may be brought to either the Tollesbury surgery, or use our online system, as described below.

• Dispensing and Medicine Advice for NHS and private prescriptions.

• Repeat Prescription –If you have a repeat NHS prescription for long term condition our on line repeat prescription services could help you manage you medicines and save time.

• Acute Prescriptions – Dispensers can help you with an urgent one-off prescription.

• Free home delivery Services, only for those that are housebound for or those elderly patients that don't have any transport, residing in– Tolleshunt D’Arcy, Salcot, Virley, Tolleshunt Knights, Goldhanger, Gt Totham, Lt Totham, Heybridge & Maldon.

• Return of unwanted Medicines - The dispenser can dispose of your unwanted medicines safely so you don’t have to.

• Medi Pack Dosage System – If you are having difficulty with your medication forgetting to take them, finding it hard to get the medication out blister packs we can help.

• Provide Hosiery – we can arrange measurement and fitting.

• Glucose Blood Testing Monitors – we can provide the monitors free of charge.

• Health Information – If you are looking for advice Dispensers are happy to help.
